We cherish the bounty of the Eastern Shore and provide landscape design and sustainability plans to enhance the health and ecology of the Chesapeake and its tributaries.
We guide faith-based institutions concerned about our common home in designing sustainable sites for reflection and community for their congregations. Additionally, our pro-bono work has included community gardens, shelters, and institutions that uplift the individuals they serve.
We are experienced in guiding K-12 schools in creating master plans, sustainability plans, gardens, and courtyards. Having worked with diverse schools across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., we bring a deep understanding of school process, procedures, and stakeholders to the design process.
Place Matters balances elegant design approaches with a bold commitment to vital and healthy ecosystems. Our designs provide habitat, food sources, and shelter for wildlife, and at the same time integrate seasonal beauty, color, and form to create a wholistic setting that respects the Chesapeake Bay.
